Atlanta, GA - The Georgia Aquarium

3.20.2014

The next spot on our trip was the Georgia Aquarium. We went on a Saturday (which made things quite chaotic). If you're going to stop by, I suggest you either go early or go on a Sunday (or a week day if you can). Despite the crowd, it was a very enjoyable trip. I was entranced by the beluga whales and the sleeping sea otters!

There are a lot of exhibits in this aquarium so make sure you plan your time wisely. We went with only three hours to spare and I think we were quite rushed. A lot of the time went to waiting. It was difficult to see the animals due to the crowding around the glass so we spent a lot of time waiting for people to move on so that we could press our noses against the glass.

Another thing to keep in mind is to go earlier in the day because of the feeding events held. Since we went a little bit later into the day we missed a lot of shows. So I advise getting there early to ensure that you can see all the feeding times of the different animals. All in all, despite the crowd and the lack of time, it was a good trip. I was thoroughly happy with our choice in going to the aquarium!
